Summer is finally here and with it is the new crop of graduation Seniors. To celebrate their great accomplishment they are having a party to let the world know and those close to them and their family to take their share in congratulating them. It would be a little rude to show up to such an event empty handed, but you don’t want to give them just money, or the run of the mill gift that all other grads are getting too, you want to show them that they are special and you are proud of them, so here are some thoughtful ideas for you to pursue.
|Tassel Ornament Keepsake
|from Sew Many Ways
This one is more for parents to do since they are the ones with access to their graduating child’s tassel. Make a keepsake using tassel and clear christmas ball.
|from The Craft Dept. Martha Stewart
Although the grad hasn’t left home yet you could still prepare them with their own care pack, fill the envelopes with gift cards to target and walmart for school and apartment/dorm supplies, fast food a restaurant gift cards for lunch and dinner, and little notes of encouragement or reminders to help them keep their heads up and their heads focused.
|Drawstring Bag Tutorial|
Make the grad a one of a kind drawstring bag, they are all the rage on campus, and you can customize it with their initial or the school letter along with the school colors. Just make sure you make it big enough to old a few textbooks.
|DIY Painted Glasses|
|from Rainbows & Honeysuckle
Now you can paint any type of glass for this project, and it might even be pretty cool to use the school colors, either the school they just graduated from, or the one that they will be attending. Use acrylic paint and the back end of a paint brush for the dots – or put on some painter’s tape and make varying widths of stripes.
